• Cuts of Veal

The Core Rules of Halal Slaughtering:

• The slaughterer must be a healthy adult Muslim.
• Before cutting, the name of God (Bismillah) must be recited.
• The act of slaughter must be done in one swift motion with a sharp knife.
• The cut must sever at least three of the four: trachea, esophagus, and the two jugular veins.
• The spinal cord must not be cut.
• Animals must be treated with respect and not see other animals being slaughtered.
• Knives must not be sharpened in front of the animal and must be completely clean.
• The animal must be allowed to bleed out completely before further processing.
