For people who want to discover the underwater world, learn scuba diving from the beginning, or develop their existing diving skills, Konya Diving Center provides structured training and diving activities built around experience, safety and professional instruction.

Established on 1 July 2009, Konya Diving Center has become an established diving school and authorized diving center in Konya, introducing many participants to scuba diving and continuing to bring experienced divers together through training programs, domestic excursions and international diving trips.

The center combines classroom-based theoretical education with practical open-water training. Students first learn the principles of diving, equipment use, underwater safety and emergency procedures before putting their knowledge into practice under instructor supervision in open water.

For those who want to progress beyond their first certification, the center also provides different levels of diver education, including 1-Star, 2-Star and 3-Star training.

Discover the Underwater World with Proper Training

The idea of entering an unfamiliar underwater environment can naturally create hesitation for someone who has never dived before. Proper training, suitable equipment, careful planning and compliance with established diving safety procedures are therefore essential parts of learning to dive.

Konya Diving Center places particular emphasis on building this awareness from the beginning. Rather than simply teaching participants how to use diving equipment, the training process introduces them to the principles behind responsible and controlled diving.

Students learn what to expect before entering the water, how to prepare their equipment, how to communicate underwater and how to react appropriately to different situations. This theoretical foundation is then reinforced through practical open-water sessions.

The aim is to give beginners the knowledge and confidence necessary to approach scuba diving in a structured and conscious way.

Intensive One-Week Diving Training

One of the center’s programs allows beginners to complete the essential stages of their initial diving education within a concentrated one-week schedule.

The program consists of two main parts: theoretical classroom education followed by practical open-water diving.

1. Three Days of Theoretical Education – 12 Hours

The first stage consists of three days and 12 hours of classroom-based theoretical instruction.

Students are introduced to subjects such as:

• Diving equipment and its correct use
• Basic diving principles
• Underwater physiology
• Diving safety procedures
• Preparation and planning before a dive
• Underwater communication
• Emergency procedures
• Practical considerations for safe and controlled diving

This stage provides the technical foundation required before students enter open water. Understanding the reasons behind diving procedures is an important part of developing safe and responsible habits.

2. Practical Open-Water Training

After completing the theoretical component, students participate in practical diving sessions conducted on the Mediterranean or Aegean coast.

Under the supervision of experienced instructors, participants begin applying what they have learned in real underwater conditions. Equipment preparation, entering the water, underwater movement, communication, breathing control and other fundamental diving skills are reinforced through practical exercises.

Completing both the theoretical and practical stages allows participants to continue through the relevant TSSF/CMAS certification process and progress toward becoming certified divers.

From Beginner Training to Advanced Diving

Diving is not necessarily a one-time activity. Once the basic skills have been acquired, divers can continue developing their knowledge and experience through progressively higher levels of training.

1-Star Diving

The 1-Star level provides an introduction to scuba diving and establishes the fundamental skills required for controlled and responsible diving. It is particularly relevant to people who are discovering the sport for the first time.

2-Star Diving

The 2-Star level is designed for divers who already have basic experience and want to broaden their skills, increase their diving experience and become more comfortable in different diving situations.

3-Star Diving

The 3-Star level represents a more advanced stage of diver development. Participants can work toward improving their knowledge, diving abilities and experience through more comprehensive training.

This progression gives divers the opportunity to continue learning rather than treating their first certification as the end of their diving journey.

Diving Trips in Türkiye

Training is complemented by organized diving activities at different locations in Türkiye. The Mediterranean and Aegean regions offer a variety of underwater environments, making them suitable destinations for divers who want to gain experience beyond their initial training location.

Domestic diving trips give participants the opportunity to experience different marine environments and continue developing their practical skills. Every destination can offer a different underwater landscape, marine life and diving atmosphere.

For divers who enjoy combining travel with their passion for the sea, these excursions provide an opportunity to explore new locations while continuing to build diving experience.

International Diving Destinations

Konya Diving Center also organizes diving activities beyond Türkiye, allowing divers to discover selected destinations in different parts of the world.

International diving trips provide an opportunity to experience different seas, underwater ecosystems and geographical environments. For experienced divers, these journeys can become an important part of developing a broader diving perspective while combining underwater exploration with travel.

The combination of diving education, domestic excursions and international trips allows participants to remain connected to the sport after completing their initial certification.

Experienced Diving Instructors

A significant part of the training program is built around direct instruction and supervision from experienced diving educators.

Mustafa Kaynaroğlu – CMAS Two-Star Diving Instructor

Mustafa Kaynaroğlu, one of the founders of Konya Diving Center, is a CMAS Two-Star Diving Instructor with many years of experience in diving education.

His role includes both theoretical and practical aspects of diver training. Particular attention is given to helping students understand diving discipline, equipment use and safety principles while also developing respect for the marine environment.

For beginners, the instructor’s role is not limited to explaining technical information. Establishing correct habits from the first lessons can also help students approach future dives with a clearer understanding of preparation, communication and underwater responsibility.

Hakan Kaynaroğlu – CMAS One-Star Diving Instructor

Hakan Kaynaroğlu is a CMAS One-Star Diving Instructor who works particularly with divers at the beginning of their training journey.

His patient and approachable teaching style helps newcomers become familiar with the equipment and fundamental principles of scuba diving. The theoretical information introduced in class is reinforced through practical exercises, giving students the opportunity to gradually become more comfortable underwater.

More Than a Diving Course

Konya Diving Center approaches diving as an activity that can develop over time. A person may begin with introductory training, continue through higher certification levels and eventually participate in diving trips in different regions of Türkiye or international destinations.

The center’s activities also extend beyond basic scuba instruction, with additional outdoor and water-related activities available through its broader program. Current course dates, diving trips and participation details can be obtained directly from the center.

With its long-standing presence in Konya, structured training approach and focus on practical experience, Konya Diving Center provides a route from the first classroom lesson to the wider underwater world.
