Ranez Tattoo & Piercing | Ankara Kızılay tattoo and body piercing studio
Ranez Tattoo & Piercing operates as a dedicated body art studio located in the Kızılay district of Ankara. Established in 2005 and backed by over a quarter of a century of professional experience, the studio delivers comprehensive custom tattoo, temporary tattoo, and professional body piercing solutions. Positioned inside the Zafir Business Center on Karanfil Street, directly opposite the Dost Bookshop, the studio offers a welcoming and controlled environment prioritizing client safety and artistic craftsmanship.
The foundation of the studio’s practice revolves around medical-grade hygiene standards and thorough sterilization routines. To safeguard human health and eliminate contamination hazards, all needles, tips, and machine grips are single-use products unpacked from individual sterile packages in front of the client. Reusable metallic equipment is sanitized using pressurized autoclave sterilization, with sterilization records kept routinely and made available upon request. Environmental safety is further enhanced by treating all work benches and procedural surfaces with medical disinfectants following each appointment, while staff operate under mandatory glove and face mask protocols.
The studio provides several primary service disciplines:
• Permanent Tattooing: Custom artwork executed in a broad spectrum of artistic genres, including minimal, fine line, realism, blackwork, lettering, tribal, and watercolor styles. Designs are either selected from extensive model archives or drawn entirely from scratch based on personal preferences and body anatomy.
• Cover-Up and Scar Camouflage: Redesigning and transforming older, faded, or unwanted ink into brand-new artwork. This service also includes scar camouflage tattoos, occasionally coordinated with single-session laser lightening recommendations when necessary for optimal pigment saturation.
• Temporary Tattoos: Dermatologically evaluated temporary solutions lasting between 1 and 2 weeks, ideal for special occasions or for individuals who wish to preview how a visual concept looks and feels on their skin before committing to a permanent tattoo.
• Body Piercing Services: Piercing applications performed with autoclave-sterilized tools following anatomical suitability checks, accompanied by complete aftercare guidance to facilitate proper tissue healing.
• Consultations and Concept Discovery: Complimentary initial consultations that allow clients to define placement, sizing, line weights, and time allocations before booking procedures.
The studio’s artistic team features practitioners specializing in distinct stylistic areas. Serkan Esmer brings more than 25 years of professional experience, focusing primarily on blackwork, realistic imagery, extensive cover-up projects, and technical piercing procedures. Hazal Kul specializes in fine line art, subtle minimal concepts, and custom female tattoo projects, offering original illustrations designed to match client aesthetics.
Project pricing reflects the overall dimensions of the piece, composition complexity, shading and color requirements, anatomical placement, and projected studio time. Smaller designs are billed under a base session charge, whereas larger bespoke compositions are calculated through drawing and hourly schedules. Appointment confirmations require a modest security deposit to reserve studio time and design preparation, allowing free date rescheduling up to 48 hours in advance.
Aftercare guidance is integrated into every procedure. Following application, the studio instructs clients on handling protective wraps during the initial 24 to 48 hours, followed by gentle cleansing using fragrance-free soaps and light moisturizing creams. Clients are directed to avoid swimming pools, sea water, saunas, and intense sun exposure for two to three weeks. Digital tracking tools and written aftercare guides are provided, and high-factor sunscreens (SPF 50+) are recommended to prevent pigment fading over time. Operating hours are 10:00 to 22:00 on weekdays and 10:00 to 21:00 on weekends, with the studio remaining closed on Tuesdays.
