Who am I?

Dear friends and valued listeners,

I was born on November 15, 1972, in the village of Mercan, Bingöl. I am the 8th child of a family of 25, 11 of whom passed away due to illness and accidents. At the age of 11, I moved to Istanbul, which I discovered as the most beautiful city in the world.

I didn’t have the opportunity to study; I learned everything through my own efforts and the experiences of life. While my peers played with toys, I struggled with life’s hardships and engaged in trade at a young age. Songs were my solace during these difficult years; they guided me through my emotions.

I began my music career in 1985 as an amateur and released my first professional album “Nerdeyim Anne (Dayıkamın)” in 2009. Following that, I released my second album “Ne Alemlerdesin,” presenting 12 selected works blending the mystic scent of Anatolia with beautiful melodies and emotional lyrics in a folk music style, which brought me great happiness. I emphasized the importance of humanity and love for people in my songs, and I hope my listeners can also find something of themselves in them.

For two years, I worked hard to give you the best. I want to express my gratitude to my friends, colleagues, and valued listeners who supported me during this time. I believe spiritual support is as important as knowledge, so I thank you for your spiritual support.

In addition to working on my albums, I tried to showcase the beauty of our country from Europe to Anatolia under the name “Diyar Diyar Anadolu” on channels such as Yurdum TV, TGRT TV, and Kanal 7.

I especially dedicate the song “Le daye” (Ay Annam) to my late brother Hamdi KAYAOĞLU, who passed away in a traffic accident in 1998, and to my dear mother who left us last year.

I extend my deepest thanks to my friends and valued listeners.
