What is Interfacing?
Interfacing is a layer inserted between fabric and lining, fused to the fabric by ironing or pressing at the appropriate temperature. It provides structural support to garments and varies according to fabric type and intended use. Interfacing prevents wrinkling and supports durability, commonly used in jackets, coats, dresses, shirts, skirts, and trousers.
What is Facing Fabric?
Facing fabric is used in pockets of trousers and jackets. When combined with belt lining, it provides an aesthetic finish. Because it contacts the skin, facing fabric must be durable, washable, and resistant to tearing. We offer a wide range including denim facing fabrics as well as colored and patterned options.
Benefits of Interfacing
• Prevents stretching, wrinkling, and helps maintain shape
• Supports collars, cuffs, flaps, pockets, and pocket flaps
• Reinforces body parts of suits and coats, shaping and joining shoulder sections
• Strengthens button and buttonhole areas
• Reinforces various edge areas
• Adds stiffness and support to belts and waistbands
